LVMH Fashion Group seeks HR Controlling Manager in New York for payroll, budgeting, and reporting across Americas. $120k–$140k annual.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll actuals across all brands and countries, ensuring accurate posting by company, department, and account, and maintaining alignment with accounting teams on monthly and yearly accruals for bonuses, company match true-ups, and automatic employer contributions
  • Consolidate payroll actuals and provide comprehensive variance analysis with commentary on significant drivers versus budget, R1, and R2 forecasts for all brands and countries
  • Report payroll actuals to brand headquarters with detailed explanations of major variances, supported by bridges and supporting analysis
  • Administer 401(k) and RSP funding including management of forfeiture funds and processing of contribution files for Fidelity (USA) and Sun Life (Canada)
  • Develop deep knowledge of employee data within multiple HR systems to cross-reference information and explain narratives behind financial figures, ensuring transparency and clarity for all stakeholders
  • Develop payroll budgets and strategic plans (BU, R1, R2, strategic plan) in partnership with brand leaders, HRBPs, headquarters, and Finance teams
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by maison headquarters and Finance, including headcount reporting in ADP and Excel, and completion of Annual Social Report
  • Ensure proper alignment with maison headquarters on headcount reporting rules for HC, FTE, and employee and department classification
  • Support development of budgeting tools and templates such as Allshare to reduce manual workload and increase automation
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from HR and cross-functional partners including variance analysis, bridge calculations, and presentation deck preparation
  • Collaborate with HR teams and cross-functional partners to identify process improvement opportunities, execute agreed changes, and implement new processes and tools
  • Compile and assist in preparing business and government reports as required
  • Validate and oversee processes handled by the HR Finance Analyst direct report

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Controlling, Finance, or similar functions
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and multiple budget iterations efficiently
  • Strong analytical and cross-reference skills with ability to identify cause and consequence relationships and present complex data clearly through visuals and oral communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated discretion in handling confidential employee data
  • Ability to work independently and proactively as well as coach and develop direct reports
  • Familiarity with HR processes, systems, and tools
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities while maintaining and driving quality results
