LVMH Fashion Group Americas — HR Controlling Manager in New York responsible for payroll controlling, budgeting and headcount reporting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary HR controlling contact for Fashion Group Americas, owning payroll actuals, budgets and headcount reporting across multiple maisons and countries.
  • Manage accurate posting and consolidation of payroll entries by company, department and account; explain major drivers of variances versus budgets and prior periods.
  • Align payroll accruals with accounting teams (bonuses, employer contributions, true-ups) and manage funding activities for 401(k)/RSP contribution files (Fidelity, Sun Life).
  • Develop and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports (including ADP monthly HC reporting, monthly HC Excel reporting and annual social reports) and ensure alignment with maison HQ reporting rules.
  • Build payroll budgets and strategic plans in partnership with brand leaders, HRBPs, HQ and Finance; identify and model key payroll cost drivers (salaries, bonuses, commissions, benefits, social charges, dismissal costs).
  • Design, support and optimise budgeting tools and templates (e.g., Allshare) to increase automation, reduce manual work and minimise errors.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, variance bridges, presentation decks and commentary for HR and Finance stakeholders; translate data into clear narratives and visuals.
  • Validate and oversee processes executed by the HR Finance Analyst; coach and develop direct report(s) and drive continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR controlling, payroll controlling, finance or a closely related function.
  • Proven ability to manage payroll actuals, construct multi-scenario budgets and deliver consolidated headcount reporting across multiple entities and countries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with experience handling large datasets and multiple budget iterations.
  • Strong analytical aptitude to cross-reference data from multiple HR systems, identify drivers and present clear commentary to HR and Finance stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail when handling confidential employee and payroll data.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and proactively while coaching direct reports; ability to prioritise competing deliverables and drive quality outcomes.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and systems is advantageous; experience collaborating with global HQs and finance teams preferred.
