LVMH Beauty Japan seeks Demand Planner in Tokyo for LVMH Fragrance Brands—drive sales forecasting, supply chain optimization, and business growth.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead forecast planning and development to optimize sales forecast accuracy for product catalogs
  • Monitor alignment between sales forecasts and brand budget allocations for saleable products
  • Ensure consistency between actual sales, forecasts for new and regular products, marketing initiatives, and distribution channels (counters, boutiques, e-commerce)
  • Monitor consumption for point-of-sale marketing items and coordinate corrective actions for items exhibiting variance
  • Animate and facilitate novelty forecasting processes and meetings, proposing benchmarks and recommendations based on historical sales data
  • Adjust basic sales forecasts using FutureMaster forecasting tool, controlling for deviations and managing launch strategy impacts and cannibalization effects
  • Prepare and lead monthly forecast review sessions with cross-functional teams to validate base case forecasts
  • Monitor product trends in real-time, particularly those linked to product launches, end-of-life phases, and special promotional events
  • Manage seasonality and campaign roll-out execution to finalize forecast outputs
  • Assist in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) preparation to align sales forecasts with financial commitments and identify gaps against budget and revenue expectations
  • Maintain forecast systems and tools, including sales figures and master data, to ensure continued accuracy and reliability
  • Generate and distribute monthly activity reporting to central and local stakeholders
  • Review key performance indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Document procedures and formalize demand planning methodology to ensure business continuity
  • Contribute to the forecast community by proposing process optimizations, tool enhancements, and administrative efficiency improvements

Qualifications

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of demand planning experience, preferably in the beauty and fragrance industry
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written; TOEIC 850 equivalent minimum)
  • Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and demand forecasting software
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven experience in matrix organizational environments
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for executive-level presentations

Experience
