LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics seeks a Data Engineer (apprenticeship) in Saint‑Jean‑de‑Braye, France — 24‑month alternance starting Sept 1, 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a digitalization strategy for formulation and raw‑material data, including mapping internal and external data sources.
  • Design and develop the technical platform to validate, store, consolidate and visualise formulation and in vivo efficacy data.
  • Implement ETL pipelines, data models and APIs to feed the efficacy platform and ensure interoperable data flows between R&D and IT systems.
  • Establish data governance processes: define roles, responsibilities and quality controls across the data lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with formulators, chemists and research teams to translate scientific requirements into robust technical specifications.
  • Develop test suites, monitoring and documentation to ensure data quality, traceability and maintainability of solutions.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Master’s programme in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering or a closely related discipline (alternance/apprenticeship).
  • Strong proficiency in Python with practical experience through coursework, projects or internships.
  • Methodical, organised and rigorous with the ability to manage concurrent technical tasks and deliverables.
  • Adaptable team player, proactive and responsive under tight timelines.
  • Genuine curiosity for cosmetics, formulation science and chemistry, and the ability to liaise effectively with scientific stakeholders.

Experience

Entry‑level. Suitable for candidates at the start of their professional career; relevant academic projects, internships or hands‑on coursework in data engineering are an asset.
