Maison Francis Kurkdjian seeks Brand Manager for Tokyo, Japan—drive luxury brand strategy, marketing, and retail operations across Asia Pacific.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop localized strategies and market plans to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and sales growth within the specific geographic market
  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand local consumer behavior, preferences, competitive landscape, and cultural nuances to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop and execute local marketing initiatives including advertising, promotions, events, and public relations to build brand awareness and cultivate customer loyalty
  • Collaborate with the global marketing team to adapt and implement marketing campaigns, product launches, and PR activities that resonate with the local audience
  • Ensure consistent brand positioning and identity across all marketing materials and customer touchpoints
  • Execute brand CRM strategy to deliver a premium customer experience throughout the customer journey
  • Oversee the brand's retail presence, including owned boutiques and retail partnerships
  • Develop and implement digital channels to optimize retail and distribution activities and ensure seamless online shopping experiences
  • Ensure premium and consistent customer experience across all physical and digital touchpoints
  • Collaborate with local partners to maintain brand consistency and elevated customer experience standards
  • Plan and execute events, activations, and collaborations that resonate with the local audience and generate brand awareness
  • Build sales strategies in collaboration with the General Manager to achieve revenue targets and increase market share
  • Identify new business opportunities aligned with growth objectives and develop key client and stakeholder relationships alongside the General Manager
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to monitor brand performance and identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share
  • Lead and motivate the Maison Francis Kurkdjian team in the region
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure team success and professional development
  • Develop and manage the regional marketing budget in collaboration with the General Manager, ensuring efficient resource allocation and ROI maximization

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in brand management, marketing, or related field within the luxury goods industry, preferably with experience in the local market or similar market segment
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics, consumer behavior, and cultural nuances
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams
  • Strategic thinker with track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with global, regional, and external partners
  • Passion for luxury products, craftsmanship, and comprehensive understanding of the fragrance and cosmetics industry
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
