Brand Controller at Guerlain (LVMH) in Brussels — financial analysis and business controlling role supporting Benelux operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct variance analysis for revenue, margins, and operating/marketing costs on a monthly basis
- Analyze activity profitability by customer and product line
- Monitor departmental running expenses and prepare detailed variance reports
- Participate in monthly closings and budgeting processes in collaboration with the Accounting team
- Prepare accurate and timely full financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Develop and present monthly management reports to support decision-making
- Provide ongoing support to the Marketing team regarding Advertising & Promotions costs tracking (POSM, local purchases, media)
- Conduct financial evaluation of capital expenditure (capex) investment projects
- Execute ad-hoc financial analyses as required by management
- Mentor and coach the FP&A intern
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in business controlling with a strong foundation in financial accounting
- Previous experience in auditing is valued
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to develop and present clear, concise reports
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of accounting policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience with reporting and consolidation systems, particularly SAP
- Comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and luxury beauty industry operations
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated creative and investigative problem-solving approach
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in business controlling, financial accounting, or related finance roles within a product-focused or international environment. Previous exposure to luxury goods or cosmetics industry is advantageous.
Education
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is valued.

The successful candidate will be located in Brussels, Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium.
