Assistant Accountant at luxury fashion group in Singapore — AP operations, invoicing, reconciliation, hybrid role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense claims with accuracy and timeliness
- Ensure proper coding, supporting documentation, and approvals in alignment with company policies
- Maintain accurate transaction records and vendor accounts
- Perform vendor verification procedures to confirm authenticity of vendor details
- Enter vendor and invoice details into e-invoicing systems with adherence to tax regulations
- Follow up on invoice discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues
- Support month-end closing activities including AP reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Assist in ensuring completeness and accuracy of accruals and cut-offs
- Support reconciliation of AP sub-ledger to General Ledger
- Ensure compliance with company policies, approval frameworks, and internal controls
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails; support audit inquiries
- Utilize ERP systems to process and track transactions efficiently
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve payment issues and ensure timely processing
- Escalate complex matters where necessary
- Support ad hoc projects and operational initiatives as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting operations (fresh graduates may be considered)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with ERP systems (advantageous)

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or accounting operations; fresh graduates with strong foundational knowledge may be considered.
Education
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
