LVMH Beauty Iberia Accounts Receivable Intern in Madrid — finance role managing customer accounts and payment processing for 6 months.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage overdue debts for all companies, particularly in the Andorra and Canary Islands regions, collaborating closely with the respective area manager
  • Record all received payment documents including cheques, transfers, promissory notes, and advance payments
  • Process, record, and actively pursue all outstanding payments with daily updates provided to Sales Representatives and relevant personnel for proper control and follow-up
  • Reconcile customer accounts by year-end, preparing and pursuing customer circularization for audit purposes
  • Control and monitor customer charges to ensure timely resolution and prevent end-of-month debt issues
  • Track and manage invoice issues, sending requested documentation copies to customers to facilitate timely payments
  • Proactively inform clients of upcoming payment deadlines and account statuses, ensuring invoice discrepancies are addressed and required documentation is sent
  • Provide the brand's management and financial teams with comprehensive updates on customer accounts, debts, outstanding discounted charges, and other relevant financial matters

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree programme in Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Eligible to sign a 6-month internship agreement through an official university
  • Fluent English at C1 level
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Office, and SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

Beginner level; previous experience in a finance or IT department is advantageous but not required.
