The Accounts Payable Supervisor oversees the AP team’s work, reviews operating and capital expenditure and travel payments for policy compliance, manages payment controls and monthly reporting, and leads AP RPA projects. The role also covers system maintenance, input VAT invoice tracking, and support for the annual statutory audit; it is full-time and office-based.
Role & Responsibilities
- Review the accounts payable team’s work to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Review PO and non-PO Opex/Capex transactions and supporting documents for compliance with procurement policy.
- Review travel and expense (T&E) payments for compliance with T&E policy.
- Check payments in the internal online banking system.
- Post accounts payable-related vouchers and accruals.
- Prepare monthly reports covering T&E, accounts payable aging, cash flow, and balance reconciliations.
- Track outstanding input VAT invoices monthly.
- Maintain the payment system and update its configuration.
- Lead accounts payable RPA projects.
- Assist with the annual statutory audit.
- Handle other ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- More than 10 years of experience in accounts payable accounting; a minimum of 5 years is also stated.
- Retail industry experience is advantageous.
- Hands-on knowledge of IFRS and PRC accounting and taxation systems.
- Knowledge of Hong Kong, Macau, or Taiwan accounting and taxation is advantageous.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance.
- Good written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with SAP or SAP 4 HANA accounting systems is advantageous.
- Good PC skills, including advanced Excel skills.
