LVMH Watches & Jewelry seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant in Tokyo — permanent full‑time role handling AP, payments, reconciliations and audit support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end accounts payable processes: invoice verification, posting and payment execution within prescribed deadlines.
- Verify invoices using three-way matching and post general, marketing, travel and entertainment expenses.
- Prepare payment proposals and perform vendor account reconciliations.
- Register and maintain vendor master data and assist with PO creation for the finance department.
- Post journal entries (prepaid expenses, cost reclassifications) and support preparation of financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits; prepare working papers for audit and tax return filings (corporate tax and consumption tax).
- Assist with tax audits and other ad-hoc finance tasks; contribute to improvements in internal controls related to accounts payable.
Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years' experience in corporate finance or accounting with demonstrable accounts payable exposure.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
- Business-level Japanese language proficiency.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and multi-task.
- Reliable, responsible team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Approximately 3–5 years of professional experience in a corporate finance or accounting role, including hands-on accounts payable processing and exposure to audit and tax procedures.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
