Louis Vuitton seeks a Watchmaker to join its watchmaking workshop at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Geneva, assembling and casing movements, fitting straps, diagnosing faults, and inspecting completed watches. The position is permanent and full-time; the start date is as soon as possible.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assemble the complete range of base movements.
  • Case watches using semi-automatic or manual presses, including a stem-cutting machine.
  • Fit straps across the full product range.
  • Pre-assemble movement components, including bridges and plates.
  • Diagnose issues in assembled movements and implement the necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform functional and aesthetic quality checks on completed watches.
  • Follow workshop operating procedures, established standards, and applicable safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Hold a watchmaking qualification (AFP, CFC, or equivalent).
  • Have at least 2 years of successful experience in the watchmaking sector.
  • Be proficient in pre-assembly, adjustment, and casing of completed pieces.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Manage working time in line with assigned objectives.
  • Analyse technical malfunctions and actively propose solutions.
  • Self-inspect completed pieces.
  • Demonstrate dexterity, meticulousness, concentration, precision, and rigour.
  • Show respect, consideration, excellence, attentiveness, transparency, dynamism, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have a well-developed sense of organisation and follow established procedures; demonstrate method, organisation, and autonomy.
