Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control of raw materials and components for leather goods: visual inspection, tactile assessment and measurement using appropriate inspection tools; identify and segregate defective items according to luxury quality standards.
  • Record inspection results and non-conformities accurately into the warehouse management system.
  • Receive inbound shipments: unload vehicles, verify quantities and condition of incoming parcels and register receipts in the IT system.
  • Manage put-away operations: organise, label and record stock locations in the inventory system.
  • Prepare customer and internal orders: picking, packaging and preparation of transport documentation.
  • Manage outbound shipments: register parcels, prepare loading and coordinate carrier handover.
  • Contribute to cycle counts and annual inventory: perform stock counts, reconcile physical counts with system data and report variances.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, workplace safety and ergonomic compliance on the shopfloor; escalate issues and propose improvements.

Qualifications

  • Reliable literacy and numeracy; able to read, write and communicate clearly in person and in writing.
  • Strong sense of organisation, rigour and attention to detail consistent with luxury quality standards.
  • Professional conduct: punctuality, respect, positive attitude and strong team orientation.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, orderliness and adherence to procedures.
  • Willingness to learn and engage in continuous training; motivation and adaptability for a role in a developing logistics activity.
  • Desirable: previous experience in logistics or quality control; forklift licence (categories 1, 3 and 5); familiarity with SAP and handheld scanners.
