Louis Vuitton in Venice seeks a Technical Specifications & BOM Specialist (Footwear) to manage material coding, technical files and costing.
Role & Responsibilities
- Encode all components required for the construction of a shoe (leathers, accessories, reinforcements, laces, packaging etc.) and enter the technical data (scheda tecnica / DI.BA.) into the product system.
- Create and maintain cost sheets in the system and produce cost estimates during prototyping and throughout the collection lifecycle.
- Liaise regularly with Style, Purchasing, Marketing and internal/external manufacturers to ensure accuracy of codifications and alignment between DI.BA. and physical samples.
- Coordinate with manufacturers on labour costs, material consumption and production feasibility; verify coherence of technical files against supplier samples.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define production prices and support pricing decisions.
- Prepare and deliver clear analytical reports and documentation for product, production and commercial stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or university degree; education in fashion, footwear technology, industrial engineering or a related discipline is advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a technical costing, BOM or product data role within the footwear industry; ideally 5+ years for senior hires.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel; prior experience with PLM systems is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across Style, Sourcing and Manufacturing teams and to manage multiple models concurrently.
- Good command of English; strong interpersonal and communication skills and autonomy in execution.
