The Team Manager leads and develops the store team, drives sales and client experience, builds client relationships, and supports product-category performance and store operations. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role in Cape Town.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and motivate the team to achieve monthly and annual targets, set individual and team goals, and manage performance against expectations.
- Ensure the team delivers the Louis Vuitton Promise and models the four Louis Vuitton Attitudes; assess development and training needs, provide coaching, and partner with the Field Coach Trainer on individual action plans.
- Identify, recruit and develop talent, and secure succession plans in collaboration with the Store Manager.
- Create a positive, harmonious work environment and foster cooperation within the team and among managers.
- Support the team in building long-term client relationships using clienteling tools; establish a client-centric mindset and proactively manage client-related situations.
- Communicate corporate strategy and relevant business information through morning briefings and training.
- Provide the Corporate office with product recommendations and qualitative feedback informed by local market knowledge and client needs.
- Implement action plans to grow business and maximize product performance through visual merchandising, clienteling, training and team engagement.
- Model sales leadership, support team members' sales, encourage cross-selling and client repurchase, and develop a personal client portfolio.
- Maximize business opportunities through effective sales-floor management, maintaining a visible and supportive presence and ensuring Louis Vuitton Promise standards are met.
- Serve as the store's point of reference for the Corporate Merchandising team, providing feedback on product performance, quality, client insights, the local market, competitors, trends and missed opportunities, drawing on Expert Advisors' knowledge.
- Support the product category business through team engagement, morning briefings, information sharing and mentoring; improve operations and define and implement sales-driving action plans.
- Communicate and implement policies, Brand standards and grooming guidelines.
- Support the Operations team with inventory management and the Store Manager with staff planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of retail experience.
- Experience managing teams preferred.
- Foreign languages are a plus.
- Computer literacy.
