Louis Vuitton (La Fabrique du Temps) in Geneva seeks a Supply Planner & Stock Coordinator (contract) to manage procurement, inventory and supplier coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage operational procurement for all subcontracted operations within La Fabrique des Mouvements, ensuring component availability and on‑time flows.
- Prioritise requisitions and expedite sourcing of missing components to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate capacity and load balancing with subcontracting partners to align charge and capacity.
- Deliver purchasing commitments and proactively communicate status to internal stakeholders.
- Raise and track purchase orders in the ERP, organise deliveries and receipt of parts.
- Maintain and update order and receipt data within the ordering/receipting systems.
- Package components, prepare assembly kits and perform system stock withdrawals.
- Monitor subcontracting operations and ensure compliance with agreed deliverables.
- Order consumables and tooling to support production needs.
- Calculate supplier service rates and monitor supplier performance metrics.
- Maintain supplier portfolios and manage day‑to‑day supplier relationships.
- Receive and inspect supplier shipments, reconciling quantities against delivery notes and orders.
- Initiate return orders for non‑conforming or surplus parts and follow corrective actions with suppliers.
- Physically move parts and components to appropriate storage zones and ensure traceability.
- Liaise with suppliers on qualitative and quantitative non‑conformities and track corrective actions to closure.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ professional experience in procurement, inventory control or materials planning; experience within watchmaking, precision manufacturing or luxury goods preferred.
- Proven proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel for order management, reporting and analysis.
- Solid understanding of bills of materials (nomenclatures), production routings (gammes) and horological components/techniques.
- Demonstrated capability in managing supplier portfolios, subcontracting relationships and capacity/load planning.
- Highly organised, rigorous and responsive with strong prioritisation and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical skills, risk awareness and a solution‑oriented mindset to anticipate and mitigate supply disruptions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness and the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiative‑driven and results‑oriented with a track record of delivering in demanding operational contexts.
