Louis Vuitton in Paris seeks a Style Coordinator (Leather Goods) to manage prototyping, quality and Go Style validation within New Product Development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive the prototyping programme from design brief to finished mock‑up, ensuring adherence to style, quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Define and implement upstream maquettage strategy in alignment with style, margin, timing and industrial feasibility constraints.
- Supervise and mentor Style Coordinators: allocate workload, monitor performance and foster skills development.
- Coordinate cross‑functional interactions with Design, project management and maquettage sites to deliver showroom‑ready duplications that meet Louis Vuitton standards.
- Manage project and product scoping: clarify technical data, prioritise mock‑ups, and enforce Go Style validation.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks to quality, cost, schedule and manufacturability, proposing corrective actions and optimisation plans.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to streamline upstream processes and promote re‑use and circular creativity.
- Develop maquettage capabilities and alternatives to internal engineering or external suppliers; maintain a skills mapping aligned with collection needs.
- Prepare and deliver required project artefacts on time: technical briefs, bills of materials, route sheets, costings and product quality risk analyses.
- Coordinate quality testing, validate Go Style decisions and circulate associated reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) from engineering school, business school, university or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in product development, ideally within leather goods and the luxury sector.
- Proven experience supervising or coordinating small teams of technicians or prototype specialists.
- Strong product sensitivity for leather goods and solid understanding of luxury market standards.
- High level of autonomy, rigor and capacity to perform in demanding, deadline‑driven environments.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); good oral proficiency in Italian.

Experience
At least 5 years of progressive experience in product development, preferably with hands‑on involvement in leather goods prototyping and showroom preparation; experience managing or mentoring a small technical team is required.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) or equivalent in engineering, business, product development or a related discipline.
