Louis Vuitton is hiring a Strategic Analyst, Retail Merchandising (Women's Shoes) in Paris — temporary on-site role analysing sales, reporting and supporting buying sessions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse sales performance of women's shoes collections by category, geography and product family to identify strengths, weaknesses and growth opportunities.
  • Produce clear, visually compelling presentations and dashboards to communicate results and recommendations to merchandising, buying and commercial teams.
  • Design, optimise and automate reporting tools and dashboards; implement Excel macros to improve accuracy and speed of reporting.
  • Support collection development with quantitative analysis during pre-season phases and provide data-driven input to assortment decisions.
  • Coordinate with regional merchandising teams, e-commerce and visual merchandising to ensure consistent product presentation and channel alignment.
  • Prepare detailed historical-sales analyses, contribute to sales forecasting and inform purchase strategy during buying sessions and showrooms.
  • Provide operational support for showroom preparations and assist merchandising teams to ensure smooth buying session logistics.

Qualifications

  • Degree from a business school or university in business, finance, economics or a related discipline.
  • First professional experience in finance, data analysis or retail merchandising.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables) and experience automating reports with macros (VBA is an asset).
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent ability to synthesise complex data and present actionable recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills, autonomy, rigour, proactivity and teamwork.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); good command of French strongly preferred.
