Role & Responsibilities
- Act as first responder for store repair and maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
- Track and control regular repair and maintenance expenditure to align with approved budgets.
- Support the Facilities Manager with spending control, budgeting, forecasting, tender processes, planning and follow‑up of store minor works.
- Participate in new store openings and renovation handovers; coordinate completion checks and deliver maintenance training for store teams.
- Manage internal facilities management documentation and systems, including Purchase Order, Good Received and Service Contract administration.
- Conduct regular site visits to stores and company facilities to verify compliance with company standards and security policies.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors to deliver a full range of facilities services, securing favorable commercial terms through negotiation.
- Supervise maintenance and contractor works to ensure compliance with company standards, government regulations and environmental, health & safety requirements.
- Support Group sustainability initiatives and actively participate in energy‑saving activities and related daily practices.
- Manage allocation and status of store fixtures and hardware and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor; occasional business travel required.
Qualifications
- Proven negotiation and vendor management skills, especially in dealing with external suppliers and contractors.
- Solid understanding of procurement and contract administration (Purchase Order, Goods Received, Service Contracts).
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and tender procedures for minor works and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of environmental, health & safety (EHS) requirements applicable to retail facilities.
- Ability to plan and coordinate store openings, renovations and technical handovers.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills; able to supervise contractors and lead small teams.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 3+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, maintenance or project coordination within retail, luxury or hospitality environments, including exposure to store openings, renovations and vendor supervision.
Education
Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, building services, construction management or a related discipline; or equivalent practical experience.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Shanghai, Shanghai, China.
