Role & Responsibilities
- Support textile and canvas sourcers in daily procurement and material management activities, liaising with Design, Purchasing and Materials/Product Development teams.
- Launch fabric and finishing developments following design briefs to supply samples for mock‑ups and show/ showroom duplications.
- Coordinate and follow up material trials and testing schedules with suppliers and converters.
- Maintain and update project management tools: project tracking tables/master design registers, budget and invoicing follow‑up, and PLM codification.
- Animate and present material novelties to the supplier panel and assist in organising supplier review meetings.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and continuous market research on material innovations, with a focus on reuse and sustainable material solutions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school, engineering school or equivalent degree programme.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI is recommended.
- Familiarity with PLM systems or material codification processes is desirable.
- Strong sensitivity to materials and leather‑goods product finishes, with an interest in project coordination.
- Curious, agile and able to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
