Louis Vuitton — Sourcing Assistant (Canvas & Textiles apprenticeship) in Paris 1st, 1‑year alternance starting Sept 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support canvas and textile sourcers in day‑to‑day procurement and material management for the Manufacturing & Supply Chain division.
- Launch fabric developments and finishing processes following Design briefs to meet prototyping and show/duplication needs.
- Assist in planning and coordinating material trials with suppliers and converters, and monitor test timelines.
- Maintain and update project management tools: project/master design trackers, budget and invoicing follow‑up, and PLM codification.
- Animate novelty and new‑product research with the approved supplier panel and participate in competitive benchmarking.
- Contribute to the organisation of material presentation meetings and supplier previews.
- Conduct continuous monitoring of innovations related to material re‑use and circularity initiatives.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school, engineering school or equivalent program (alternance/apprenticeship eligible).
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI is recommended.
- Knowledge of PLM systems or exposure to product codification is desirable.
- Strong material and product sensitivity, particularly for leather goods and canvas.
- Interest in project coordination and basic budget tracking.
- Curious, agile, and able to develop constructive relationships with cross‑functional teams and suppliers.
