Role & Responsibilities

  • Receive initial sketches and technical briefs from the stylist and translate creative intent into developable footwear concepts.
  • Select and specify materials, colours and constructions in collaboration with the stylist and technical teams.
  • Liaise with purchasing, pattern-making (modelleria) and the design office to source components and define required workmanship.
  • Prepare prototypes and presentation models for review by the stylist and creative direction.
  • Coordinate the first selection meeting with marketing to identify models for production.
  • Collaborate with the Paris style direction to align product direction and technical specifications.
  • Evaluate samples identified by marketing, document required corrections and provide clear technical remediations.
  • Draft PLM fiche drafts and populate material codes and technical data.
  • Manage and track development phases and timelines for all sneaker collections to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • Degree in fashion design, footwear design or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Technical footwear training preferred (e.g., Politecnico Calzaturiero or similar).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in product development, ideally within sneakers or sport footwear.
  • Proficiency in PLM systems and experience creating product data sheets.
  • Fluent English; good command of French preferred.

Experience
