Louis Vuitton in Venice seeks a Shoes Supply Chain Manager to lead footwear planning, MRP and supplier coordination at the Fiesso d'Artico manufacture.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the end‑to‑end supply chain strategy for the sneakers/footwear category, aligning industrial capacity with business objectives.
  • Lead MRP processes and manage procurement of raw materials and semi‑finished goods to secure production continuity.
  • Develop, implement and maintain demand‑driven procurement and planning systems to ensure on‑time production starts and deliveries.
  • Produce and maintain short‑ and long‑term forecasts and production projections to drive manufacturing planning targets.
  • Coordinate supplier planning across all manufacturers/ateliers, factoring in individual production capacities and creating supplier planning calendars.
  • Prepare and monitor detailed backwards (retro) planning to control material arrival timelines and production milestones.
  • Oversee technical developments and ensure readiness for shipment launches.
  • Monitor KPIs, generate regular reports for senior management and recommend corrective actions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and monitor supplier performance against quality and delivery criteria.
  • Anticipate changes in demand and assess their impact on the supply chain; implement mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to produce coordinated plans supporting business growth.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to enhance process efficiency and planning accuracy.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the Paris headquarters and ensure alignment with group standards.
  • Manage and coach the local supply chain team, including resource allocation and performance management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in economics, engineering, supply chain management or related scientific/economic discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain roles, preferably within fashion or footwear manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing MRP processes, production planning and supplier coordination.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance.
  • Excellent communication and summarisation skills; ability to work to targets and across multifunctional teams.
  • High degree of autonomy and decision‑making capacity, punctuality, reliability and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel; ability to liaise regularly with a Paris‑based headquarters.
  • Good command of French and/or English.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with PLM and SAP considered an advantage.

Experience
