Louis Vuitton seeks a Senior Sneakers Pattern Maker in Naples, Italy — expert in 2D CAD and footwear prototyping for the Carinaro production site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create drawings on the last and perform manual upper flattening (spianamento) followed by development and digitalization of patterns.
- Provide technical support in model development and participate in iterative prototyping and troubleshooting.
- Develop graded patterns across required size ranges when necessary.
- Monitor and resolve prototype defects through successive sampling phases.
- Liaise closely with the lasting/finishing (orlatura) department to ensure manufacturability and fit.
- Contribute to cross-functional technical reviews and support production transfer from sample room to factory.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or specialised training in footwear design/manufacturing or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum five years' proven experience in a pattern-making role within sneakers or sport footwear (men's and women's).
- Excellent knowledge of footwear materials and componentry.
- Advanced competency in 2D CAD for pattern drafting; familiarity with ELITRON is a strong plus.
- High level of precision, proactivity, teamwork orientation and ability to prioritise under tight deadlines.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years in an analogous pattern-making or modeller role within the sneakers or sport footwear sector, with experience across men’s and women’s ranges.
Education
Technical diploma or specialised footwear-school qualification; equivalent professional training in shoe manufacturing accepted.
