Role & Responsibilities
- Manage production planning and task allocation for the polishing workshop based on team competencies and manufacturing priorities
- Lead new project launches and communicate specifications to ensure seamless production transitions
- Mentor polishers to enhance efficiency and quality across all finishing assignments
- Define finishing processes and collaborate with dedicated teams to specify required tooling and equipment
- Execute advanced preparation and finishing techniques on luxury watch case components across multiple material types
- Perform visual quality inspections of components in accordance with established quality criteria
- Coordinate polishing of limited-edition and one-of-a-kind case components in liaison with adjacent workshops
- Analyze production challenges and implement proactive solutions for non-conformities in collaboration with the team and direct manager
- Enforce safety protocols and standards within the workshop, including proper use of personal protective equipment and machinery operation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finishing and polishing luxury watch or jewelry components, including complex pieces
- Proven experience working across multiple luxury brands and in subcontracting roles
- Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong visual acuity and meticulous attention to detail
- Deep appreciation for artisanal craftsmanship and traditional finishing methods

Experience

Formal vocational training in watchmaking, jewelry finishing, or a related artisanal craft discipline is preferred. Technical qualifications in precision finishing techniques or manufacturing processes are advantageous.
