Role & Responsibilities

  • Define, implement and maintain an integrated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) management system aligned with D.Lgs. 81/2008 and ISO 14001/45001 standards, driving continuous improvement through audits, KPIs and corrective actions.
  • Lead and coordinate local HSE Managers across multiple sites to ensure consistent application of group initiatives, local compliance and best practices.
  • Oversee general services (Servizi Generali) and facilities: manage, maintain and optimize real-estate assets, infrastructure and plant systems (internal and external), including maintenance planning and contractor supervision.
  • Prepare technical tender documents, manage procurement and construction contracts through to technical and economic acceptance, and supervise renovation and new-build projects with interior design and ergonomic considerations.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring and inspections of workplace conditions, conduct risk assessments, and ensure implementation of safety procedures (POS) and PPE (DPI) management.
  • Manage relations with external authorities, certification bodies and inspectors; ensure regulatory compliance and lead external audits and certifications.
  • Design and deliver HSE training and advisory support across the organisation; act as technical advisor to senior management on HSE strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response and business continuity plans; coordinate emergency responses to minimize risk to people and environment.
  • Define HSE and facilities KPIs, produce periodic performance reports for senior leadership, and foster organisation-wide engagement on safety and environmental matters.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (Laurea magistrale) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years’ professional experience in manufacturing environments with progressive responsibility in HSE and facilities management.
  • Proven track record coordinating multi-site teams and interfacing with senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough knowledge of Italian regulatory framework (D.Lgs. 81/2008) and international management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Experience in contract specification, construction project management, and facility maintenance planning.
  • Availability for frequent travel between sites.
