Role & Responsibilities
- Define and own the analytics and AI product roadmap: identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives, drive delivery and transition solutions to central teams for industrialisation.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders (e‑commerce, retail, CRM, supply chain, finance) to translate business problems into data product requirements and measurable success metrics.
- Design, develop and validate predictive models and analytical solutions using Python and SQL, performing exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model training and documentation.
- Create reusable analytical assets (scores, segments, KPIs) and semantic layers to enable broad adoption across markets and functions.
- Collaborate with MLOps and Data Engineering teams to build, orchestrate and maintain production-grade data and ML pipelines using platforms such as Dataiku and Google BigQuery, ensuring testing, version control and observability.
- Act as a BI subject‑matter expert: define KPIs, semantic models and develop actionable dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or Looker to drive self‑service analytics.
- Package local solutions (code, specs, documentation, KPIs) for handover to central teams and represent local analytics needs in global forums to support standards, reference architectures and scalability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in data science, analytics or data engineering with demonstrable end‑to‑end ownership of data products.
- Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn) and strong SQL skills; practical experience with Google BigQuery.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Dataiku and familiarity with MLOps practices for testing, deployment and monitoring of models.
- Proven expertise in at least three of the following domains: machine learning/data science, BI/reporting and metric design, business analysis/stakeholder management, data engineering/data processing, or Gen AI/agentic AI product deployment.
- Experience building dashboards and semantic layers with Power BI, Tableau or Looker and translating analytical findings into clear business recommendations and narratives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and storytelling skills; ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and measure business impact.
- Prior experience in retail, luxury, fashion or consumer environments and exposure to experimentation (A/B testing), customer analytics (segmentation, propensity, churn, LTV) or marketing attribution is preferred.
- Requires on‑site presence four days per week at the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office in Midtown Manhattan.
