Louis Vuitton Korea seeks a Senior Accountant (temporary) in Seoul to manage accounting, SAP reporting, audits and tax compliance for retail operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets and inventory accounting across retail stores.
  • Execute timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closings in compliance with Korean statutory principles and Group reporting standards.
  • Prepare and report financial statements, treasury positions and CAPEX using Group reporting tools; review and validate journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage the fixed assets lifecycle within SAP and administer cash flow, payment cycles and intercompany transactions.
  • Maintain accurate stock valuation and collaborate with Supply Chain to investigate shrinkage and post stock adjustments.
  • Act as a business partner to operational teams: provide accounting guidance, train store teams on reconciliations and support Business Planning on budgeting, forecasting and transaction postings.
  • Serve as primary contact for external auditors; prepare audit documentation, manage audit schedules and follow up on audit findings with zone and central teams.
  • Lead tax filing coordination with external tax advisors and the headquarter tax director; manage Customs & NTS audits and ensure VAT and corporate tax compliance.
  • Strengthen internal controls related to daily store reconciliations and inventory; partner with Indirect Purchasing and Internal Control to ensure proper approvals and compliance.
  • Lead accounting contributions to ad‑hoc company projects, including new business initiatives such as hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally within luxury retail or FMCG.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional accounting qualification (CPA, AICPA or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Proven experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Experience managing multi‑store operations and inventory accounting preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to train and transfer accounting knowledge across teams.
  • Native Korean speaker with fluent English communication skills.
