Louis Vuitton — Paris: Retail Legal Manager to support EMEA retail operations (contracts, leases, compliance).
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal support to Retail teams across Italy, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, with a focus on contractual and regulatory risk mitigation.
- Negotiate, draft and review commercial leases and all contracts related to retail operations, including international agreements and vendor arrangements.
- Advise on retail-specific legal matters — consumer law, sales law, distribution agreements, pricing rules and anti‑money‑laundering compliance — and support deployment of new retail activities.
- Oversee legal aspects of store events and daily shop operations, ensuring compliance with applicable local regulations and corporate standards.
- Manage pre‑litigation and litigation matters tied to retail activities, including responses to authorities and customer claims.
- Supervise and mentor a small team (senior counsel and paralegal), coordinating with transversal legal resources attached to the Retail Legal Director.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in private law, contract law or equivalent university qualification.
- 7–10 years’ experience in an in‑house legal department and/or international business law firm, ideally within a cross‑border retail environment.
- Proven expertise in contract law, commercial leases, distribution/consumer law and real estate matters related to retail.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting and written communication skills; ability to produce clear international contracts.
- Fluent French and English (written and spoken); Italian is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated client‑oriented mindset, rigour, attention to detail and ability to work effectively across functions and cultures.

Experience
7–10 years of progressive legal experience within a company legal department and/or an international business law firm, with demonstrable exposure to commercial contracts, retail distribution, real estate leases and cross‑border matters.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Private Law, Contract Law or equivalent.
