Louis Vuitton is hiring a full-time, permanent Quality Coordinator for its first shift in Piscataway, New Jersey. Working under the Logistics Supervisor or Manager, the role supports shipping, warehouse operations and product assessment; the schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., at $18 per hour, with overtime as business demands require.
Role & Responsibilities
- Pack finished goods and spare parts in appropriate boxes for shipment.
- Prepare shipment documentation and ensure shipping supplies are available.
- Move pallets from the shipping area to the shipping docks; keep the shipping area clean and organized.
- Ensure shipments are secure and accurate, correct discrepancies promptly, and maintain accurate and efficient processes throughout the day.
- Keep the department manager informed of issues or concerns and meet daily shipping goals.
- Receive spare parts and integrate them into the warehouse; pick and match parts to repair and sales orders; process returned spare parts into the warehouse.
- Perform basic warehouse processes, including creating locations and conducting cycle counts.
- Manage and process incoming client repairs within the specified lead time and contribute to the daily goal supporting 94% efficiency.
- Follow SOPs to open shipments in the K & N area.
- Assess incoming repairs for condition, reparability, authenticity, and eligibility for free-of-charge repair.
- Communicate shipment feedback and performance results or issues to Customer Service Coordinators for relay to stores.
- Consult floor supervisors and artisans on technical questions; escalate incorrect or missing data and technical questions to the Logistics Supervisor.
- Generate quotations recommending additional or necessary repairs in response to client requests.
- Coordinate with the Quality Manager on incoming quality issues or possible customer exchanges.
- Review individual quality performance reports daily and correct errors.
- Cross-train to support the shipping department or warehouse as needed.
- Participate in company improvement projects and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
- 1–2 years of basic computer experience and 10-key data entry.
- Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to push or pull up to 25 lbs.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Able to work overtime as business demands require.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly and effectively to changing priorities.
- English; Spanish is a plus.
- Team player.
