Louis Vuitton — Paris: Purchasing Assistant (Leather Goods Metal Hardware, Apprenticeship) — 1‑year alternance starting Oct 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Industrial Purchasing team on market category management: monitor economic performance by family and supplier and contribute to competitiveness plans.
- Manage and pilot administrative procurement flows: process DM (demandes de modifications), rework operations and supplier harmonisation activities.
- Maintain supplier pricing and master data in enterprise systems (SAP); ensure integrity of price, lead time, MOQ and market-share data in SAP and PLM.
- Assist in procurement project activity: launch and manage calls for tender, analyse price proposals, negotiate commercial conditions and award components according to sourcing strategy.
- Coordinate first‑lot delivery planning with suppliers and internal production/development teams to secure on‑time ramp‑up at manufacturing sites.
- Compile, propose and analyse KPIs and indicators linked to new developments and the purchasing pole's activity.
- Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders (industrial development, Quality, production sites) and external suppliers while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Actively support the Maison’s sustainability and diversity commitments in daily procurement practices.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an engineering school or business school, ideally with a master’s or specialised curriculum in procurement/purchasing.
- Demonstrated rigor, methodical approach and strong organisational skills.
- Commercial sensibility in purchasing: familiarity with supplier contacts and basic negotiation principles.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Analytical aptitude and confidence with numerical data; critical mindset when reviewing compiled figures.
- Discretion and ability to handle sensitive commercial information.
- Good written and spoken English.

Entry‑level — suitable for students or recent graduates engaged in an alternance/apprenticeship programme with limited prior professional procurement experience; able to work under the supervision of senior buyers and contribute to both market and project purchasing tasks.
