Louis Vuitton seeks a 6-month Prototype Assistant Intern in Paris to support creative concept development and prototype lifecycle management.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to analysis of creative design intentions and assist in formalizing technical specifications
- Participate in developing work documentation, technical briefs, and production specifications
- Monitor materials, manufacturing technologies, and emerging fabrication processes
- Track daily progress of prototype fabrication and development stages with external partners
- Verify prototype conformity against specifications and original creative expectations
- Coordinate necessary adjustments and optimizations during the prototyping process
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers, workshops, and specialized service providers
- Manage administrative follow-up including order tracking, vendor communications, and invoice management
- Maintain updates to partner mapping and material innovation databases
- Support timeline development and track manufacturing schedules against strategic review deadlines
- Monitor prototype budgetary indicators and contribute to activity reporting
- Anticipate and flag risks of delays or non-conformity
- Facilitate communication between design teams, the Prototype Manager, and external workshops
- Participate in project review meetings and provide constructive technical feedback
- Provide logistical and technical support during project reviews
- Actively organize and present prototypes for final review presentations under optimal conditions
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or business school education with specialization in luxury management, project management, design, or creation
- Strong organizational discipline and meticulous attention to detail
