Louis Vuitton is hiring a Production Team Leader in Vendôme, France to lead a leather goods workshop team and deliver quality manufacturing results.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and mobilize a production team of 25–30 leather artisans to achieve daily quality, volume and delivery targets while maintaining strong team cohesion and a positive working atmosphere.
- Coordinate production activities for a designated sector (soft or rigid products), ensuring adherence to specifications, processes and deadlines.
- Participate in new‑product development by providing pragmatic, production‑oriented feedback to improve manufacturability and uphold Maison standards.
- Develop team polyvalence by coaching artisans across tasks to increase operational flexibility and responsiveness to demand fluctuations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and raise quality performance within the sector.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (generalist) or equivalent technical qualification, or comparable hands‑on manufacturing background.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in production team management within an industrial or artisanal manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and cross‑train skilled craft teams.
- Results‑oriented mindset with strong rigor, organisational discipline and a focus on operational performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage with cross‑functional stakeholders and production staff.
Skills
Experience
At least 3 years’ experience managing production teams in industrial or artisanal manufacturing, ideally within leather goods, fashion or related assembly operations.
Education
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification (BEng/MSc or similar vocational diploma).
