Louis Vuitton is hiring a Production Team Leader in Issoudun, France — lead a leather goods manufacturing team on-site.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage a manufacturing sector of the Issoudun atelier, leading a daily team of approximately 25–30 leather craftsmen and craftswomen to achieve production targets.
- Ensure daily production performance across quality, quantity and delivery timelines while applying lean manufacturing principles to optimise efficiency.
- Develop team capabilities: recruit, coach, appraise, and organise polyvalence and flexibility among operators.
- Support new product introductions and changes in organisation by coordinating with development, quality and operations stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives: identify, propose and implement process, workstation and organisational enhancements.
- Lead cross‑functional projects and working groups, providing clear direction and follow‑through to deliver programme objectives.
- Maintain a constructive team culture, enforce site rules and safety standards, and address workforce expectations with transparency and responsiveness.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree (generalist) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing production teams in an industrial/manufacturing environment; experience in leather goods or luxury goods production is highly desirable.
- Proven capability to lead cross‑functional projects and to drive continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) initiatives.
- Strong leadership and change management skills, with ability to develop team polyvalence and sustain high performance under production constraints.
- Fluency in French and ability to work on‑site at the Issoudun/Condé workshop.

Experience
At least 5 years' experience supervising production teams in an industrial setting, with a demonstrated record of meeting production targets, implementing improvement initiatives and supporting new product developments; prior exposure to leather goods or luxury manufacturing is an advantage.
Education
Engineering degree (generalist) or equivalent technical qualification.
