Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and implement robust working methodologies aligned with the demanding expertise required across all workshop sectors
  • Coordinate daily production operations in alignment with scheduling plans and in close collaboration with planning teams
  • Anticipate medium-term constraints and contribute decisively to developing mitigation strategies
  • Provide transparent and synthetic reporting to management on sectoral activities and performance metrics; ensure monthly financial closure documentation
  • Serve as quality guardian within assigned perimeters and maintain strong coordination with central Client Quality teams; propose continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as upstream catalyst during development phases, particularly regarding feasibility assessments and target cost alignment within the production scope
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment and materials made available to team members
  • Lead and empower a team of approximately twenty personnel, with focus on individual development and shared success
  • Conduct field-based and daily workshop operations; facilitate production rituals and foster cross-functional collaboration
  • Organize work equitably and cultivate the value of each team member's contributions
  • Identify and support team development needs; implement targeted skills-building programs
  • Foster cohesion and engagement within a demanding operational context
  • Serve as key communication relay among stakeholders
  • Maintain safety standards, workshop cleanliness, and exemplary operational conduct
  • Enforce rigorous compliance with Health and Safety protocols

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in precision watch component machining (movements and/or cases)
  • Proven technical background as a confirmed technician or engineer, validated by professional training
  • Demonstrated expertise across 3-axis, 5-axis, and multi-axis equipment, from programming through setup and adjustment
  • Previous experience in subcontracting environments (strong preference)
  • Deep understanding of watchmaking development objectives and ability to guide project teams from concept through process arbitration
  • Solid grasp of industrial challenges, particularly within horology and jewelry sectors
  • Pronounced aptitude for exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to delivering superior output
  • Recognized for demanding yet compassionate management style and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong listening ability, pragmatism, analytical and synthesizing capabilities, field-oriented approach, and collaborative partnership with operational teams

Professional-level technician qualification or equivalent engineering background; continued professional development in manufacturing and management preferred.
