Louis Vuitton Americas seeks a Production Intern, Visual Merchandising in New York City — support pop-ups and in-store activations, $20–$25/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end production of pop-ups, in-store activations and retail animations, assisting with logistical coordination during installation.
  • Compare vendor samples, colors and materials against Paris control samples under the supervision of Production Directors.
  • Contribute to the preparation and reconciliation of budget proposals and cost comparisons for project planning.
  • Prepare detailed installation schedules, run-of-show documents and daily action-item lists to track project progression.
  • Create creative assets for photography and documentation, including shot lists and video storyboards.
  • Communicate with vendors to follow up on quotes, sample deliveries and production milestones.
  • Compile comprehensive project documentation: photo recaps, budget comparisons, timelines and sample-status trackers.
  • Research and analyze alternative materials to optimize cost, quality and aesthetic alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student in visual merchandising, product design, architecture, production management or a related discipline.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; professional vendor correspondence and follow-up experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables and budgeting workflows; fluency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Foundational proficiency with 3D imaging software is required (Rhino preferred; SketchUp accepted).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical schematics.
  • Proactive self-starter with a sense of urgency, adaptability to reprioritize rapidly and willingness to learn new software independently.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to work on-site in New York City (4–5 days per week).
