Role & Responsibilities
- Manage creative briefs and designer requests for new collection development, ensuring alignment with Marketing strategies and Maison standards
- Identify, source, and qualify specialized materials, techniques, and supplier partners in response to project requirements
- Oversee mock-up and prototype development cycles, conducting weekly progress reviews and managing timely delivery for collection presentations
- Maintain proactive supplier relationships and coordinate ongoing follow-up communications
- Execute development orders and research-related procurement initiatives
- Administer special order sample workflows including order placement, delivery coordination, and final dispatch
- Navigate the creative brief through all development phases culminating in the GO STYLE approval milestone
- Champion circular economy and reuse principles in accessory design innovation
- Apply rigorous Design to Cost methodology to optimize commercial viability
- Remain attentive to regulatory and compliance considerations affecting accessories development
- Coordinate frequent travel throughout Italy and France to support production oversight and stakeholder engagement
Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or closely related discipline
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in product development roles focusing on accessories (metals, leather, multi-material compositions)
- Proven experience in project management environments
- Demonstrated expertise in leather goods development and design
- Proficiency with office productivity suites and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software platforms
- Fluent in Italian and English; French language capability is advantageous
- Ability and willingness to undertake frequent weekly travel within Italy and France
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5–7 years in product development roles for accessories spanning leather, metals, and multi-material compositions. Prior project management experience is required. Strong grounding in luxury accessory development and design is expected.
Education
Degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or equivalent discipline.
