Louis Vuitton seeks experienced Procurement Manager in China to lead strategic sourcing, store renovation projects, and P2P system implementation across retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Streamline and standardize company-wide procurement processes, establishing efficient and transparent sourcing systems
- Serve as primary liaison between operational departments and executive leadership, providing regular updates on procurement progress, risk mitigation, and commercial opportunities
- Lead end-to-end procurement initiatives including vendor evaluation, tender documentation, bid assessment, evaluation, and contract negotiation
- Oversee all aspects of retail store renovation purchasing, including materials, equipment, and service procurement, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to quality specifications
- Select, implement, optimize, and manage P2P systems to enhance procurement efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Establish and maintain strategic vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with corporate conduct standards, anti-corruption policies, and sustainability requirements; conduct vendor performance assessments and identify new sources of supply excellence
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with underperforming vendors, coordinating corrective action plans with project management teams
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to global corporate procurement policies and local regulatory requirements
- Drive cost optimization and margin improvement through market analysis, refined management practices, and innovative sourcing strategies
- Lead, mentor, and develop procurement team members to maximize performance and achieve departmental objectives
- Utilize strong financial literacy and business insight to analyze procurement metrics, support strategic decision-making, and identify emerging commercial opportunities
- Manage vendor contract lifecycles across all departmental store planning suppliers (renovation contractors, façade specialists, display vendors, design firms, etc.); coordinate with legal and finance teams on contract ambiguities and commercial disputes
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and audit trails; ensure approval workflows and responsibility matrices comply with regulatory standards
- Serve as primary liaison with internal audit and corporate compliance functions; coordinate store development expenditure reviews and related reporting requirements
- Conduct vendor satisfaction assessments; execute vendor audits and performance evaluations against predefined KPIs (quality, on-time delivery, compliance, financial stability)
- Generate management reporting including semi-annual expenditure reviews; prepare vendor performance, spending analysis, and compliance status reports on monthly and quarterly cycles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in procurement management, supply chain management, business administration, or construction/engineering management
- Minimum 10 years of procurement management experience in the retail sector, with preference for large-scale retail, luxury goods, or construction/renovation sectors
- Demonstrated expertise in building or successfully implementing complete P2P (Procure-to-Pay) systems from inception
- Extensive experience in store renovation and engineering project procurement
- Exceptional communication and coordination skills with demonstrated negotiation and project management capability
- Proven ability to lead and manage procurement teams
- Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness, with proficiency in data analysis and cost-benefit assessment
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency with standard office software applications and ERP systems
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification or equivalent professional credential (preferred)
- Cross-border procurement experience (preferred)
- Fluent English; French language proficiency is an additional asset

Minimum 10 years of procurement management experience in the retail sector, ideally encompassing large-scale retail enterprises, luxury goods brands, or construction and renovation sectors. Demonstrated success leading complex multi-vendor projects and implementing enterprise-wide procurement systems. Proven expertise in store development and renovation procurement. Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with senior executive stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in procurement management, supply chain management, business administration, construction management, or engineering management. Background in quantity surveying is considered an additional asset.
