Louis Vuitton — Payroll Project Manager in Sydney (12‑month contract) leading payroll system implementation and EBA work across Australia & New Zealand.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration and implementation of a new payroll system for Australia and New Zealand from tendering through to live deployment.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring scope, timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Support the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) process: undertake pay modelling, interpret award clauses, and translate outcomes into payroll rules and communications.
  • Own and uplift payroll reporting: develop robust monthly and quarterly reports, automate where possible and ensure outputs meet executive requirements.
  • Define and execute testing (UAT), reconciliation and data migration activities to ensure payroll accuracy at go-live.
  • Develop training materials and deliver stakeholder training for payroll, HR and people managers; provide ongoing subject-matter support post‑implementation.
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with relevant industrial instruments (GRIA, Clerks Award) and local legislative requirements.
  • Drive change management and clear communications with frontline employees and senior leaders on complex award and pay entitlements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally within the retail sector.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting or navigating an EBA process and advising on award interpretation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (models, formulas, pivot tables) and experience producing executive payroll reporting.
  • Proven track record in payroll system implementation or major payroll transformation projects.
  • Experience working closely with HR functions (employee relations, EQ for sensitive pay conversations).
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to present complex matters to both frontline staff and senior leadership.

Experience
