Louis Vuitton (La Fabrique du Temps) in Meyrin seeks a Methods Technician (Watchmaking) on a fixed‑term contract to lead industrialisation and production methods.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and technical support to production teams and be an integral participant in production routines.
  • Act as the primary production contact for the manufacturing workshop and accompany artisans on new processes.
  • Lead industrialization launches for each project: create manufacturing routings, define production processes and produce technical dossiers (BOMs, drawings, instruction sheets, time standards).
  • Design and source tooling, manage procurement and oversee workshop validation of tools and fixtures.
  • Participate in prototype and pre‑series validation and manage product/process change requests (DM) within the sector.
  • Translate artisanal constraints (engraving, enamelling, guillochage, setting) into controlled, repeatable manufacturing solutions while preserving craft integrity.
  • Write and maintain Methods reference documentation and contribute to standardisation and continuous‑improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years in a comparable industrial role, preferably within dial manufacture or watchmaking.
  • Proven expertise in watchmaking industrialization covering fabrication, finishing and assembly for series production and development.
  • Familiarity with artisanal dial techniques and métiers d’art, with the ability to formalise and secure these processes for manufacture.
  • Strong command of CAD/CAO tools; experience with Creo is an advantage.
  • High level of rigour, organisational skill and the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Result‑oriented mindset with a continuous‑improvement spirit and strong interpersonal skills to coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
