Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end industrial development of metal hardware and ancillary materials for leather goods, ensuring alignment with style, quality, cost and delivery targets.
- Collaborate with sourcing, purchasing, style and design teams from concept through production to define technical requirements and feasibility.
- Manage supplier development projects: formalise requests, evaluate technical risks, oversee prototyping and qualify suppliers and processes.
- Define and validate acceptance criteria, production methods and quality control procedures; analyse laboratory performance and aesthetic conformity.
- Support workshops on processability and production set‑up, troubleshooting industrialization issues to secure successful project rollout.
- Monitor market and supplier innovations in materials and processes; propose and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise costs and quality.
- Anticipate industrialization timelines and coordinate deliveries to workshops to meet project schedules.
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Design or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial development or materials engineering for leather goods, metal fittings or related components.
- Proven experience managing cross‑functional projects with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written); working knowledge of French is an asset.
- Willingness and availability for frequent travel to France.
