Louis Vuitton seeks a Merchandising Director for Women's in Singapore to lead South Asia merchandising strategy and retail performance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Build annual budgets and targets by product category and store location, ensuring achievement of performance objectives
- Outline key product priorities and monitor performance on a year, semester, and quarterly basis
- Identify growth opportunities and emerging product trends, translating insights into actionable strategies and campaigns
- Develop comprehensive commercial reporting on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles to drive insights and prioritization
- Partner with local market and global teams to ensure consistency and excellence in merchandising execution
- Attend buying sessions to influence assortment relevance according to client demographics and local market feedback
- Collaborate with supply chain teams on inventory levels and product availability during launches and replenishment cycles
- Ensure visual merchandising standards align with Louis Vuitton specifications and business targets
- Support store projects including pop-ups, installations, and new store openings
- Plan and budget visual merchandising animations and activations
- Coach and develop retail store teams on merchandising priorities and business goal achievement
- Partner with learning and development to build product expertise communities and deliver training programs
- Lead and mentor a high-performing merchandising team, establishing roles, responsibilities, and growth development plans
- Assess team performance and engagement through structured feedback, goal setting, and development reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in a retail environment with regional exposure
- Strong analytical capabilities in both quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively across departments
- Self-initiative and team player mentality with willingness to embrace new ideas and procedures
- High adaptability and flexibility in accepting procedural changes
- Strong organizational skills with consistent ability to meet deadlines
