Louis Vuitton seeks Assistant Merchandising Manager for Women's Ready-to-Wear in Shanghai. Support merchandising strategy, sales analysis, and retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyzes product performance data including sales reports, sell-through reports, transfers, and regroupings to inform merchandising decisions
- Prepares analytical and qualitative data in preparation for business reviews and strategy sessions
- Assists Merchandising Manager with buying preparation, including market trend research and feedback consolidation to central buying teams
- Supports showroom activities through ideation and order entry during seasonal collections
- Identifies and develops new business opportunities to drive category and overall business growth
- Creates and delivers product knowledge training materials to retail stores, incorporating new training concepts
- Coordinates closely with supply chain management on inventory planning, automatic replenishment, and inter-store transfers for Women's Leather Goods
- Organizes and coordinates seasonal product previews and promotional events
- Provides ongoing support to store teams through regular visits and responsive communication channels
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in merchandising, buying, or related luxury retail functions
- Strong fashion sense and acute product sensibility
- Experience with footwear or leather goods categories preferred
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Master's degree or business school diploma
- International education background preferred
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proven interpersonal and motivational abilities
- Strong presentation and communication capabilities
- Proficient in computer applications and data analysis tools
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in merchandising, buying, or category management within luxury fashion retail environments. Prior exposure to footwear or leather goods categories is advantageous. Experience coordinating with both corporate buying offices and retail operations teams is essential.
Education
Master's degree or diploma from a recognized business school. International education credentials are preferred.
