Louis Vuitton in Shanghai seeks a Merchandiser — Women's Leather Goods to support buying, category performance and store training. Full‑time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial performance of a defined Women's Leather Goods product category under the supervision of the Merchandising Manager.
- Prepare and analyse sales performance datasets — sell‑thru reports, transfers, regroupings and related KPIs — to inform assortment and replenishment decisions.
- Compile analytical and qualitative inputs for regular business reviews and buying cycles.
- Support buying preparation by delivering buying reports, market and trend research, and qualitative/quantitative feedback to central teams.
- Participate in showroom activities: contribute directional product ideas, support order key‑in and follow up on allocations.
- Liaise closely with Supply Chain on auto‑replenishment and inventory transfers to optimise in‑store availability.
- Coordinate and organise seasonal previews, training sessions and store events to ensure successful commercial execution.
- Develop and deliver product knowledge to retail teams through translation of training materials and on‑site/store visits; support special store product or training requests.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and initiatives to grow category revenue.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years' professional experience in merchandising, buying or a closely related commercial function within fashion/leather goods.
- Strong product sensibility and fashion awareness; prior experience with shoes/footwear is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and presentation skills.
- Proven persuasive communication skills with the ability to motivate cross‑functional stakeholders and retail teams.
- Good command of English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Ability to travel frequently and manage a high workload under tight deadlines.
- Master’s degree or business school diploma preferred; overseas study background is an advantage.
- Proficient computer skills.
