Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor sales performance to identify optimization opportunities and short-term commercial levers
- Drive business performance by communicating key messages and priorities to regional markets, challenging teams on sales and inventory, organizing support priorities, and initiating targeted action plans as needed
- Integrate retail strategy, store potential, and customer profiles into strategic business planning
- Participate in annual sales budget construction and OTB (Open-To-Buy) planning in conjunction with business planning and sales planning teams
- Monitor time-to-market coordination with supply chain teams, including launch dates, setup quantities, and implementing necessary follow-up actions
- Maintain deep and current market knowledge to provide qualitative feedback to central merchandising on performance, future opportunities, and competitive landscape
- Prepare merchandising briefs for the central team in advance of design briefs
- Propose seasonal new items and key bets based on detailed market trend analysis and identified needs
- Guarantee a complete and commercially viable product offering in each market by piloting cluster assortments quarterly
- Participate in buying sessions and assortment construction meetings
- Adapt purchases to zone strategy
- Conduct product training sessions and elevate the category's visibility across all markets and stores
- Visit stores and markets to gather feedback, understand competitive environments, and identify local trends
- Coordinate with all supporting functions to ensure seamless execution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a business school or equivalent (BAC+5 minimum)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in buying or zone merchandising, ideally within fashion and luxury
- Strong product expertise and deep market knowledge
- Proven experience in retail environments (preferred)
- Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data and inform strategic decisions
- Fluent English and French
