Louis Vuitton in Shanghai seeks a Merchandiser, Jewelry & Watchmaking to manage collections, reporting and cross‑functional launches.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Merchandising Manager in driving commercial performance of jewelry and timepiece assortments across the region.
  • Prepare and analyse product performance metrics (sales, sell‑through, stock transfers, regroupings) and produce qualitative and quantitative inputs for business reviews.
  • Contribute to showroom and buying preparation: compile buying files, perform market and trend research, and share zone best practices and feedback with central teams.
  • Manage sample flows and liaise with product, supply chain and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of global assortment and launch plans.
  • Develop and deliver product knowledge to stores, including translation and localisation of training materials in collaboration with the learning team.
  • Coordinate product‑facing activations and temporary retail formats (caravans, pop‑ups, HE city caravans) with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain on auto‑replenishment settings and regrouping for novelty launches, and support stores with special stock or training requests.
  • Work with the Communications team to translate product positioning into launch and in‑store animation strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; experience at a top‑tier luxury brand is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in merchandising, planning, buying or retail operations; retail and buying experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent English; French language skills are a plus.
  • Proven analytical aptitude and strong organisational discipline, with the ability to assimilate new systems rapidly.
  • Keen commercial and fashion sensibility with an informed eye for jewellery and watch trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: persuasive communicator, professional presentation and ability to motivate cross‑functional partners.
  • Willingness to travel for business and capacity to handle a demanding workload.
