Role & Responsibilities
- Support the leather sourcing team in upstream activities prior to industrialization for the Maison's leather goods collections.
- Coordinate the launch of leather developments and leather finishing processes following Design briefs for prototypes and duplications (shows, showroom).
- Manage administrative follow‑up and material testing with suppliers, including tanneries and leather processors.
- Maintain and update project governance tools: project tracking tables / master design, budget and invoice tracking, and PLM codification.
- Drive leather research initiatives: animate novelty exchanges with supplier panel, conduct competitive benchmarking, and help organise material presentation meetings.
- Act as primary contact for the material room / material showroom for replenishment management and sample flow.
- Monitor innovations related to material reuse and sustainable material solutions and feed findings into sourcing workstreams.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Purchasing, Materials Development and Product teams to ensure alignment across projects.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a business school, engineering school, design school, university programme or equivalent.
- Fluent English (mandatory); Italian is a plus.
- Strong sensitivity to materials and leather goods products.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional presentation; comfortable working in a design‑exposed environment.
- Adaptability, proactivity and flexibility in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional setting.
- Basic project management skills and aptitude for organising meetings, follow‑up and documentation.

Experience
Entry‑level — suitable for students or recent graduates. Previous internships in sourcing, materials development, product development or leather goods are an advantage but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolled in a relevant higher‑education programme (business, engineering, design or equivalent).
