Louis Vuitton, Vendôme: Materials Development Intern supporting exotic leather collection creation and artisanal craftsmanship.
Role & Responsibilities
- Track and coordinate placement of supplier specification sheets and graphic files for transformation processes (screen printing, embroidery, etc.)
- Manage materials development on designated projects during the second phase of the internship
- Oversee the master samples process to ensure quality standards
- Deploy processes and tools to guarantee availability of master skins for permanent materials and upcoming collections
- Conduct collaborative studies on dye management and light resistance with Quality and Development teams to meet Louis Vuitton specification requirements
- Design and execute experimental plans on the impact of leather humidity rates on flexion performance in collaboration with specialized teams
- Formulate and communicate recommendations to workshops based on research findings
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bac+5 engineering degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong proficiency in English; Italian language knowledge is advantageous
- Proficiency with office software including Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated interest in leather goods craftsmanship and artisanal techniques
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Education
Bac+5 engineering degree or equivalent advanced qualification in materials science, chemistry, or related discipline.
