Louis Vuitton Materials Coordinator, Paris 1er | Luxury retail architecture role managing design materials and standardization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and organize comprehensive material collections including wood, stone, decorative finishes, and wallpapers within the centralized database
- Monitor and update standard material references while coordinating exchanges with global zones and local procurement teams
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and conduct value engineering analysis
- Pilot alternative material developments and standardization initiatives with suppliers and regional teams
- Conduct market research and trend analysis on emerging materials and design innovations, sharing findings with project teams
- Maintain regular contact with suppliers, manufacturers, and craftspeople to evaluate new offerings
- Attend professional trade shows and conferences, providing reports and recommendations to the department
- Create and update material catalogues organized by category (composition, application, location)
- Develop design guidelines and material association standards for departmental use and project implementation
- Formalize best practices for material combinations and coordinate their application across retail projects
Qualifications
- Degree in architecture, interior design, or related artisanal practices
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in the luxury sector or architectural firm preferred
- Strong aesthetic sensitivity with demonstrated knowledge of materials, design, and execution quality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Creative software
- Fluent English, both written and oral
- Portfolio required as part of application submission

Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in materials coordination, architectural design, or interior design, ideally within the luxury sector or a recognized architecture practice. Demonstrated ability to manage complex material projects, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and drive standardization across geographically dispersed teams.
Education
