Louis Vuitton in Geneva seeks a Manual Movement Decorator for La Fabrique du Temps — permanent, on-site role crafting haute horlogerie components.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up movement components for decorative finishing, executing manual decoration operations to defined specifications.
- Apply and select appropriate finishing techniques that comply with haute horlogerie quality standards.
- Read, interpret and apply technical drawings and production instructions to guarantee dimensional and aesthetic conformity.
- Perform systematic self-inspection and quality control of decorated parts, documenting non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Contribute proactively to process improvements while maintaining strict adherence to workshop procedures and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Vocational training in decorative arts, métiers d'art, micro-mechanics or watchmaking finishing (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar decorative/finishing role within the watchmaking industry.
- Exceptional manual dexterity, fine motor control, and eye–hand coordination.
- Demonstrated patience, concentration, precision and rigorous attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a small-team workshop environment and proposing practical improvements.
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in decorative finishing or manual decoration within the horology/watchmaking sector.
Education
Vocational diploma or certification in decorative arts, métiers d'art, micro-mechanics or watchmaking finishing, or equivalent professional training.
