Louis Vuitton Manager – Men's Ready-to-Wear Merchandising, Seoul: Lead luxury merchandising strategy, category management, and team leadership across Men's RTW and Shoes.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver the business plan across Men's Ready-to-Wear and Men's Shoes product ranges in alignment with company strategy and KPIs
  • Lead and execute seasonal buying strategies, including Paris showroom buying sessions, and manage Open-to-Buy (OTB) parameters tailored to local market needs
  • Strategize, plan, and execute major collection events, trunk shows, and new product launches in collaboration with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Boutique teams
  • Analyze and generate periodic sales and KPI reports for the Merchandising Director and headquarters, proposing appropriate corrective actions
  • Manage balanced inventory flows in stores in partnership with Supply Chain, monitoring stock allocations and performance metrics
  • Conduct regular store visits to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback, ensuring retail teams are aligned with product strategy
  • Monitor product performance against sell-through targets and develop action plans to optimize assortment and pricing
  • Research competitive trends and market insights to inform product positioning and drive country-specific initiatives
  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of two merchandising staff members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment
  • Act as the primary strategic bridge between boutique teams, local cross-functional partners (Marketing, PR, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain), and Paris headquarters

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of strong merchandising experience with a luxury retail background
  • Bachelor's degree at minimum (relevant field preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling
  • Proficiency with enterprise retail systems (e.g., Power BI, Anaplan)
  • Fluent in both Korean and English (verbal and written)
  • Deep understanding of local luxury market trends and consumer behaviours
  • Experience in leading seasonal buying sessions in international showrooms
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and cross-analyze complex, multi-dimensional retail metrics
  • Strategic oversight capabilities with swift, high-level decision-making ability
